We plied proven innovation and strategy frameworks with rigorous market research to justify, guide and facilitate our client’s Digital M&A strategy. This work built on our construction of the customer’s CEO/CFO/CIO’s buyer personas and ‘whole product’ need. We assessed the competitive landscape and conducted exhaustive executive interviews to understand the end-users’ jobs-to-do against the client’s current service footprint. Then, by combining the customer themes and quantitative market data with structured growth targets, we identified and prioritized the areas for investment with highest-ROI and leverage on competitive advantage. Worked hand-in-glove with the client’s in-house Financial Analysis team to evaluate and pursue high-profile Digital M&A targets.

We assessed senior leadership priorities, their approach to key markets, and the needs across 4 distinct stakeholder groups. From there, we devised a data-driven program approach to quantify customer sentiment across latent program dimensions from the open-ended stakeholder feedback. Using feature-scoring frameworks, we assessed the experience of different stakeholders to inform and support the allocation of scarce resources across programs to maximize overall benefit. Using a systems-approach to customer acquisition strategy we defined the client’s customer acquisition flywheel, with a clear breakdown of success factors and points of influence. The project completed with program and brand recommendations, and led to the securing of significant new sources of non-dilutive funding to support program recommendations and initiatives.
